COURSE OBJECTIVES

At the end of the symposium, attendees will be able to:
• Apply proper surgical interventions in patients with device-related infections
• Identify proper medical advances in the areas of prevention and treatment of device-related infections
• Recognize the regulatory perspectives regarding surface-modified medical devices

ACCREDITATION

Physicians: Washington University is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Washington University designated this educational activity for hours in category 1 credit toward the AMA
Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should only claim those hours of credit that he/she actually
spent in the educational activity.

Nurses:Lynn Hadaway Associates, Inc. is an accredited provider of continuing education for nurses by the
California Board of Registered Nursing, CEP 13546. Upon attendance of the program, the nursing
participants will receive a certificate of completion for 10.9 contact hours.
