COURSE OBJECTIVES

At the end of the symposium, attendees will be able to:
1. Identify proper medical advances in the areas of prevention and treatment of device-related infections.
2. Apply proper surgical interventions in patients with device-related infections.
3. Recognize the regulatory perspectives regarding surface-modified medical devices.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Registration cancellations must be made in writing (fax to 713-779-5058) prior to May 1, 2008. Registration fee, less 25% administrative fee, will be returned within 30 days of cancellation. No refunds will be made for cancellations after May 1, 2008.

EVALUATION

Evaluation by a questionnaire will address program content, presentation, and bias by faculty.

ACCREDITATION

Physicians: Washington University is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Washington University designated this educational activity for a maximum of 11.5 hours in Category 1 credit toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should only claim those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

CME Certificates will be mailed directly from Washington University at the completion of the course.

Nurses: Lynn Hadaway Associates, Inc. is an accredited provider of continuing education for nurses by the California board of Registered Nurses, CEP 13546. Upon attendance of the program, the nursing participants will receive a certificate of completion for 10 contact hours.
