Educational Methods

Lectures Syllabus -- Audio/Video Presentations

Course Objectives
At the end of the symposium, attendees will:
1. Identify in their medical practice problems with infections resulting from the placement of medical devices.
2. Recognize potential solutions to infections associated with medical devices.
3. Acquire scientifically-based practical tools to optimize prevention and treatment of device-related infections.
Accreditation
Washington University is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Credit
Washington University designated this educational activity for a maximum of 11.25. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nursing Accreditation/Credit
Lynn Hadaway Associates, Inc. is an accredited provider of continuing education for nurses by the California Board of Registered Nurses, CEP 13546. Upon attendance of the program, the nursing participants will receive a certificate of completion for 12.6 contact hours.
Evaluation
Evaluation by a questionnaire will address program content, presentation, and bias by faculty.
Cancellation Policy
Registration cancellations must be made in writing (djones1pmr@aol.com) prior to May 1, 2011. Registration fee, less 25% administrative fee, will be returned within 30 days of cancellation. No refunds will be provided for cancellations made after May 2, 2011.
